A strawweight pairing between promotional mainstay, Ashley ‘Spider Monkey’ Yoder and relative newcomer, Miranda ‘Danger’ Granger is targeted for a UFC Fight Night event on November 14th. – with a location and venue for the showcase yet to be determined by the promotion.
Dropping two of her last four outings, former Invicta FC feature, Yoder dropped a recent defeat to Livia Renata Souza at UFC 252 in August. Prior to that defeat, Yoder suffered a split decision loss to Randa ‘Quiet Storm’ Markos at UFC Fight Night Kallang last October.
Losing for the first time in her eight-fight career last time out – Washington based prospect, Granger came up short against Amanda Lemos at UFC Fight Night Busan last December, losing via first-round rear-naked choke. News of the 115-pound pairing was first reported by MMA Fighting’s, Alexander K. Lee and Damon Martin.
In her only two victories under the UFC’s banner, Indiana native, Yoder has notched triumphs over Syuri Kondo, and Amanda Cooper after a trio of defeats against Mackenzie Dern, Angela Hill, and Justine Kish.
Yoder arrived in the promotional following an armbar win over Amber Brown, which served as her fourth consecutive win. From seven fights in the UFC, the 32-year-old has managed a 2-5 promotional résumé.
Former Cage Fury FC strawweight champion, Granger arrived in the UFC with a win over the then-undefeated, Hannah Goldy – prior to her above-mentioned submission loss to Lemos late last year.
The 28-year-old was scheduled to meet with Australian striker, Nadia Kassem at UFC Fight Night Vegas last month, until the latter was forced from the tie due to injury. November’s meeting with Yoder will mark Granger’s third Octagon appearance.
