New video footage has emerged following the arrest of Bellator MMA welterweight, Dillon ‘El Jefe’ Danis on Saturday night in Seaside Heights, New Jersey, which shows the 28-year-old being put in a rear-naked choke by a security guard outside the Beachcomber Bar and Grill.

Danis, 28, was detained by law enforcement officers outside the Ocean County establishment on Saturday night following an alleged incident. Footage emerged earlier this week, which appeared to show Danis struggling with responding officers, who picked him up from the ground outside the establishment, before escorting him down an entrance ramp, and placing him in a police cruiser.

The 2-0 professional mixed martial artist was charged with disorderly conduct per the court summons obtained by MMA Fighting, and is expected to return to Seaside Heights Municipal Court on October 19. — with the responding officer detailing a report which alleges Danis “created a disturbance“.

Along with footage emerging of his Danis, a mugshot picture appears to show Danis at the Seaside Heights police station.

In the initial footage, Danis, who is pictured with bleached blonde hair, a white dress shirt, and a knee brace on the outside of his right pant leg, struggles with multiple law enforcement officers as he is placed in handcuffs and brought into custody.

This evening, more footage emerged of Danis’ arrest, which shows the New Jersey native allegedly involved in an altercation with a security guard at the bar and grill establishment, before he is placed in a rear-naked choke, and appears to tap soon thereafter before police officers turn him to his stomach and place handcuffs on him.

Out of action professionally since June 2019, Danis, a multiple-time ADCC competitor and a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under Marcelo Garcia, last competed at Bellator 222 where he lodged his second successive victory with an opening frame armbar win over Max Humphrey.

Back in March of last year, Danis underwent reconstructive surgery after suffering a knee injury and was part of teammate and longtime friend, former two-weight UFC champion, Conor McGregor’s training camp for the Dubliner’s UFC 246 main event against Donald Cerrone.
