FITE has managed to unveil a glimmer of hope for its viewers through securing partnerships with key players

FITE PARTNERSHIP2

The month of April 2020 could not have gone much better for MMA Power Hour’s network partner FITE, the premium digital platform for global streaming of combat sports and special events. Not only did they secure a new partnership with Hisense – the world’s third-largest television brand, for the launch of their new app on the VIDAA Smart TV platform. They also announced that in conjunction with Eleven Sports USA and FTF. FITE has become a new addition to the weekly programs on the Eleven Sports linear channel and their digital channel FTF ‘For the Fans’, set to premiere May 5th.

2020 has been a rough year for sports across the board, but somehow FITE has managed to unveil a glimmer of hope for its viewers through securing partnerships with key players – ensuring the global expansion of digital streaming for combat sports and special events entertainment.

On April 23rd., FITE launched their new app that is available worldwide on the VIDAA Smart TV operating system – currently used on Hisense TV’s as well as Toshiba Smart TVs manufactured by Hisense. Having been around just over fifty-years – Hisense has risen to the number three spot in global TV brands where it currently stands with over twenty-million worldwide installs.

What does this mean for fans? A whole new way of consuming content –  putting the viewer at the core of the design. This shining new addition to the VIDAA user interface named 4.0 will deliver to fans in over one-hundred and twenty countries – the ultimate sports entertainment experience.

“We are excited about our new partnership with the sports and special events-focused FITE brand. We are launching FITE globally, and FITE’s application is pre-installed in every Hisense TV with VIDAA OS,” Guy Edri, EVP of Business Development for Hisense’s VIDAA platform explained. “Sports is one of our four pillars and it is extremely important content,”

Although it is uncertain when all televised sports will return to live streaming, the integration of FITE to the VIDAA operating system marks a monumental shift in the viewership of combat sports and special events worldwide.

If that wasn’t exciting enough, exactly one week later on April 30th., FITE kicked off yet another key partnership, this time with multi-platform global sports provider Eleven Sports USA and FTF. ‘For the Fans’, currently serves sixy-million viewers across the world as the digital and OTT channel for Eleven Sports.

How it will be incorporated is, each week, Eleven Sports will feature FIGHT PRESENTS— a variety of different FITE programs, grouped together on Thursday’s at 2pm ET. This will include combat sports news, interviews, and commentary shows from popular outlets within Boxing, Pro Wrestling and MMA. These blocks are available to be viewed again later Friday night, Saturday morning, and the following Tuesday.

To start off the block, FITE PRESENTS will present The Fight Guys headed up by Peter Kahn, and Brian Mazique, followed by the Pro Wrestling Report with Dameon Nelson, and Davis Herro, On the Ropes with Josh Shernoff, and the MMA Power Hour with Colin Crandall, and Adam Roorda.

MMA Power Hour as one of FITE’s featured programs – is especially thrilled to be a part of such monumental partnerships.

“We’re extremely excited to see the FITE team create such great exposure for everyone on their platform. It’s rather humbling to be included on Hisense television programming and in the first round of distribution with Eleven Sports,” Adam Roorda, Executive Producer and Senior Editor of MMA Power Hour revealed. “Colin (Crandall) and I are both looking forward to bringing our coverage to all these new fans.”

With additional programming and shows to be added to FITE PRESENTS in the coming months – it’s current starting line-up of heavy-hitters are ready to take this special stage within combat sports and special events television.

The premiere of the anticipated launch is set to take place on Tuesday, May 5th., on the FTF digital outlets. Fight fans across the planet will be able to tune in to see their favorite shows and programs each and every week!

Although live combat sports have faced much adversity so far in the year 2020, FITE’s relentless effort towards expansion has given its loyal audience exciting time to look forward to!
