Report: Charlie Ward vs. Andy Manzolo Slated For Bellator Milan on October 3rd.

An eye-catching middleweight matchup between renowned finisher, Charlie ‘Relentless’ Ward, and Estonian veteran, Andy ‘Predator’ Manzolo will take co-headlining honours at a Bellator Milan event on October 3rd. from the Allianz Cloud Arena in Milan, Italy.

Laois favourite, Ward recently returned to winning ways under the Bellator banner, following the snapping of his notable four-fight finishing run. The Straight Blast Gym mainstay scored a relatively comfortable knockout win over Kyle Kurtz, after a well-rounded performance in the build-up to the third-round stoppage.


Making his promotional return, 36-year-old submission ace, Manzolo looks to make it two wins in two, following a kimura finish of David Round under the Supreme FC banner back in February of this year.

UFC alum, Ward has made good on his transition to Scott Coker’s led, Bellator – scoring a 5-1 promotional résumé in just three-years under the promotion’s banner.

Debuting with a knockout over veteran, John Redmond – Ward has managed other knockouts over Martin Hudson, Jamie Stephensen, and Justin Moore to go with his win over Kurtz in Dublin also in February this year. In his sole organizational blemish, Ward featured opposite Pietro Penini Jr. at Bellator London last November – suffering a unanimous decision defeat.

With sixteen separate submission victories, storied Estonian grappling ace, Manzolo looks to add Mountmellick native, Ward to his winning column – following twenty-three prior successes. Manzolo originally featured under Bellator’s banner also at the above mentioned London event in November, dropping a first-round submission defeat to Kent Kauppinen.

Ward vs. Manzolo features under a main event of bantamweight rivals, James ‘The Strabanimal’ Gallagher, and Cal ‘Pacino’ Ellenor who look to throw down at the fourth time of asking.
