A bantamweight re-run between Marlon ‘Chito’ Vera and ‘Dangerous’ Davey Grant has been added to a UFC Fight Night 190 event on June 19th — with a location or venue for the event yet to be determined by the organization.

The matchup will come as a rematch of their UFC Fight Night London matchup back in February of 2016, where Grant scored a unanimous decision at the hometown O2 Arena event.

Returning to the Octagon for the first time since last December, Vera featured in a high-profile UFC Vegas 17 clash against former featherweight champion, Jose Aldo, where he suffered a unanimous decision loss against his fellow South American.

For Darlington veteran, Grant — he’s enjoyed a three-fight winning streak recently, lodging a massive second round, one-punch knockout win over Jonathan Martinez at UFC Vegas 21 in March. News of the booking was first reported by MMA DNA reporter, Marcel Dorff

For Team Oyama mainstay, Vera, he managed the most notable and arguably the most high-profile victory of his UFC stint last year, in a co-main event slot at UFC 252 in August.

Drawing the then-undefeated, polarizing striker, Sean O’Malley, Vera stopped the Montana finisher in the opening round with ground strikes.

The Ecuadorian has featured sixteen times under the UFC’s banner, scoring other notable triumphs against the likes of Brad Pickett, Brian Kelleher, Frankie Saenz, Nohelin Hernandez, and Andre Ewell.

Grant, the finalist of The Ultimate Fighter 18 — suffered a finale defeat to the since-retired, Chris Holdsworth, with his 2016 win over Vera coming as his first under the promotion’s banner.

In the midst of a three-fight streak, the 35-year-old has managed to score other wins over Martin Day and Grigorii Popov after his unanimous judging win over Vera.

UFC Fight Night 190 takes place on June 19th — with a featherweight clash between one-time title challenger, ‘The Korean Zombie’ Chan Sung Jung and fellow powerful puncher, ‘Dynamite’ Dan Ige slated to take main event status.
