Report: Polyana Viana vs. Mallory Martin in The Works For UFC Event on February 13th.

A strawweight pairing between recent UFC Vegas 8 features, Polyana ‘Dama de Ferro’ Viana and Mallory Martin is targeted for a UFC event on February 13th. – with a location or venue for the showcase yet to be determined by the promotion.

Former Jungle Fight strawweight titleholder, Viana snapped a three-fight slide at the above mentioned August event – scoring a first-round armbar win over Emily Whitmire in a rescheduled matchup.


Former Invicta FC and Dana White’s Contender Series feature, Martin also managed to return to the winner’s enclosure in Las Vegas two months ago – taking a second-round rear-naked choke win over Hannah Cifers. News of the targeted tie was first reported by MMA Fighting reporters, Mike Heck and Guilherme Cruz

Viana, 28, holds an 11-4 professional record – finding the finish in each and every one of those eleven victories. A devastating submission artist with seven separate successes – Viana also holds a first-round knockout win over up-and-coming talent, Amanda Ribas.

With a 2-3 promotional record – Viana debuted with a rear-naked choke win over Maia Stevenson, before dropping three straight losses to JJ Aldrich, common-foe, Cifers, and Venezuelan prospect, Veronica Macedo. 

Denver native Martin holds a 7-3 professional résumé with two submission wins and two knockout victories on her record. 1-1 under the UFC’s banner, Martin dropped a promotional bow rear-naked choke loss to former Invicta FC strawweight champion, Virna Jandiroba in December last at UFC Fight Night D.C. – prior to her win over Cifers in August.
