An exciting featherweight matchup between Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu ace, Ryan Hall and emerging contender, Ilia Topuria has been added to UFC 264 on July 10th. — with a location or venue for the matchup yet to be determined by the promotion.
Hoping to finally make his Octagon return, The Ultimate Fighter 22 victor, Hall has been out of action since UFC Fight Night Sacramento back in July of 2019 — where he managed a unanimous decision victory over featherweight staple, Darren Elkins.
For Topuria, the German-born upstart improved his professional record to 10-0 at UFC Vegas 16 in December, stopping Damon Jackson in the opening round via strikes. The victory marked Topuria’s second under the UFC’s banner. News of the matchup was first reported by AdjaraSport reporter, Giorgi Kokiashvili.
Virginia-born veteran, Hall has recently seen high-profile matchups with the since-retired former featherweight championship challenger, Ricardo Lamas, as well as recent big winner, Dan Ige fall to the wayside amid an undisclosed and hip flexor injury, respectively.
With an 8-1 record, the 37-year-old has scored Octagon victories over Artem Lobov, former lightweight title chaser, Gray Maynard, as well as a notable heel-hook stoppage over former lightweight and welterweight champion, B.J. Penn.

Debuting under the UFC’s banner at UFC Fight Island 5 in October, Topuria matched with fellow up and comer, Yousseff Zalal — taking home a unanimous decision win before his North American debut at the UFC Apex in December with his opening round stoppage over the aforenoted, Jackson.
