Scoring a second career win over Fortis MMA trainee, Diego Ferreira, grappling sensation, Dariush picked up his sixth consecutive victory at 155-pounds at the UFC Vegas 18 event in February. The victory saw Dariush claim the #9 slot at lightweight. News of the intriguing pairing was first reported by MMA Junkie reporters, Danny Segura, Mike Bohn, and John Morgan

Seeing his division-tying twelve-fight winning spree halted in devastating fashion at UFC 249 last May in Jacksonville, Florida, Ferguson dropped an eventual fifth round knockout loss to Justin Gaethje in a short-notice interim title fight.

The victor of The Ultimate Fighter 13, Californian all-rounder, Ferguson recently brought his talents to Los Angeles’ Wildcard Boxing, under the tutelage of renowned boxing coach, Freddie Roach. As part of Ferguson’s twelve-fight undefeated streak, he managed to notch high-profile victories over the likes of Danny Castillo, Gleison Tibau, John Thomson, Edson Barboza, Rafael dos Anjos, Anthony Pettis, Donald Cerrone, and at UFC 216, submitted Kevin Lee to claim the interim lightweight crown.

A three-time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world champion, Iranian born finisher, Dariush has really hit a purple patch of form recently — amassing a streaking run of six consecutive victories under the UFC’s banner.

Featuring three times over the course of twelve-months, Dariush added Drakkar Klose, Scott Holtzman, and the above mentioned, Ferreira to prior victories over Frank Camacho, Drew Dober, and Thiago Moises.
