Trevin Giles vs Dricus Du Plessis #UFC264 Results

Both men come out of the gate hot but quickly both men taking a cautious approach.
Some good exchanges by both men but a lot of big swings and missing from each competitor. Du Plessis goes in for the takedown and Giles pulls guard while attempting a guillotine but is elevated and thrown to the ground by Du Plessis. Du Plessis briefly gets mount then Giles gives up his back briefly but was able to shake him off and reverses the position. They’re both up against the fence with Giles trying to defend the takedown with a
kimura but Du Plessis was able to defend the submission attempt. Du Plessis then attempts an armbar which was easily defended by Giles. Du Plessis then sweeps him and ends up on top going for a neck crank or choke right at the bell to end round 1.

Both fighters come out a little measured but Giles lands a flying knee
which just grazes Du Plessis. Du Plessis answers back with a leg kick but
both fighters being extremely cautious not a single strike thrown in the first
10 seconds of round 2. The pace picks up a big right by Du Plessis just grazes Giles. Giles throwing more volume being the aggressor and then with his back to the fence the South African lands a huge right-hand flooring Giles. He gets on top of him with some vicious ground and pound causing the referee to jump in ending the fight with a huge KO victory
